Bakame Editions is a non-governmental organization which has published children's litterature and youth in Kinyarwanda, French and English for 26 years.As the first publishing house dedicated to the production of youth litterature in the national language, Bakame Editions has focused on collaborating with both Rwandan writers and illustrators and international experts in the field to pursue one overarching goal: producing high-quality books in terms of both content and illustrations.Beside its annual publishing program, Bakame Editions has been involved in a series of projects revolving around the promotion of the culture of reading with children and youth.
