Background Information

SNV is an international not-for-profit development organization. Founded in the Netherlands more than 50 years ago, SNV has built a long-term, local presence in many of the poorest countries in Asia, Africa and Latin America. SNV’s global team of local and international advisors work with local partners to equip communities, businesses and organizations with the tools, knowledge and connections they need to increase their incomes and gain access to basic services – empowering them to break the cycle of poverty and guide their own development.

Being a modern organization that relies on ICT for most of its operations SNV now seeks a competent and dynamic firm to outsource its ICT service to. SNV uses a number of modern electronic equipment that include computers, servers and electronic access control systems among others.

Scope of Work

The services will include but not be limited to the following:

  • Ensure regular and consistent availability of quality internet services.  Liaise with local Internet Service Provider to ensure that there is uninterrupted internet connectivity.
  • Perform industry standard diagnostic tests and advise as frequently as necessary.
  • Hardware Servicing
  • Resolve all error conditions indicated by diagnostics testing or visual inspection and continue to perform testing until an error-free condition exists.
  • Verify correct system operation.
  • Conduct regular checks and tests of the state of the equipment.
  • Compile a disaster recovery plan in liaison with Head Office ICT personnel.
  • Perform regular and consistent data backup in line with SNV Regulations to be availed.
  • Server management and system back up. Maintain offsite storage backup.

Purpose of Tender

The objective is to identify and enter into a contract with an experienced ICT service provider to take care of all our ICT requirements, as outlined in a detailed ToR which is available for collection from SNV office between 08:30 – 16:30; on the 4th floor Queen’s Land House KG 563 St.

Availability of the Consultant

  • The Consultant will be available at SNV offices every Monday from 08:00 to 12:00 and every Thursday from 08:00 to 12:00; for a total of 32 hours in a month.
  • For occasional support needs that will occur apart from these periods, the consultant will be expected to be available upon request.
