The Jonathan Foundation is a non-profit organization that supports, educates, and develops children in Rwanda. The Jonathan Foundation was founded in 2020 and it is far more than a school. The Foundation has been created to offer a wide-ranging platform of educational development and support for more than 1500 students aged between 3 and 20.

Our mission is to provide a stable learning environment where students can fulfil their academic potential while ensuring that each child has unlimited access to clean drinking water throughout the school day and a nutritious daily lunch.

About Us

The Jonathan Foundation is a non- profit organization that supports, educates and develops children in Rwanda. The Jonathan Foundation was founded in 2020 and it is far more than a school. The Foundation has been created to offer a wide-ranging platform of educational development and support for more than 2000 students aged between 3 and 19.

Our mission is to provide a stable learning environment where students can fulfil their academic potential and build a new Academy of Science which will cover the gap in the Nation’s need for scientists. https://jonathan-foundation.org

Job Role & Summary

The Grant Officer will help the Foundation identify grant sources for various ongoing and future projects and activities. He/she will organize activities to raise funds or otherwise solicit and gather monetary donations or other gifts for the Foundation.

Responsibilities

  • Raise awareness of the Foundation's work, goals, and financial needs.
  • Responsible for finding grants opportunities for the Foundation, developing and writing polished proposals in order to earn grants.
  • Researching deadlines, drafting grant requests and submitting reports for approval.

Skills

  • Capable of multitasking and working independently.
  • Ability to work on remote.
  • Strong ability to adapt to change.

Qualifications 

  • Should a have proven professional experience and a strong track record of successful grants from charities, or/and local and international organizations.
  • Perfect knowledge of both written and spoken English.
