Organizational Background

Women for Women Rwanda (WfW-Rwanda) is a non-for-profit national NGO legally established in December 2020. The organization recently transitioned from Women for Women International (WfWI) that had been operating in Rwanda since 1997. Its mission seeks to support women and girls in Rwanda to break the vicious circle of poverty and social exclusion, by enabling them to become socially and economically capable to lead themselves and their community to better health, education, and social conditions. To promote employment among women, WfW-Rwanda under its socio-integrated program, would like to recruit a consultant/trainer to deliver Leather Products Making vocational training to women.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • To train women in Tailoring skills
  • To assess performance of the trainees through monthly tests and reports
  • To ensure all training equipment and raw materials are properly used and managed
  • To facilitate and support the women to form, work in cooperatives, and select committee members
  • To assist women to open a bank account, and ensure good management of income earned from the production during training 
  • To perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or line manager

Required Skills and Experience

Education:

  • At least a diploma or Certificate in Tailoring

 Experiences:

  • Minimum of 3 years of working experience in teaching Tailoring
  • Having experience in training women is an asset.
