Catholic University of Rwanda (CUR) is a private higher learning institution established by Catholic Diocese of Butare in 2010. The vision of CUR is excellence in promotion of science, education of honest and committed professionals for the social, economic, technological transformation and religious training. CUR plays a key role in a sustainable development of a just, equitable and stable society through the training of responsible citizens who are committed and professionally competent and skilled in scientific fields. The conception of CUR was to create a University with a vision and a mission of contributing to the solving of development challenges in Rwanda. CUR has 6 faculties, including the Faculty of Education, Faculty of Science and Technology, Faculty of Commerce, Faculty of Public Health and Human Nutrition, Faculty of Catechesis and Religious Sciences and Faculty of Social Work.
