Advisor to the Managing Director (1 Position)
About the Position
We are seeking a highly motivated, strategic, and results-oriented professional to serve as Advisor to the Managing Director. This is a senior executive support position responsible for providing strategic advice, executive coordination, governance support, performance monitoring, and project oversight to the Managing Director.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the implementation of the Company's strategic priorities, coordinating cross-functional initiatives, strengthening stakeholder engagement, and ensuring effective execution of executive decisions across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Providing strategic advice and executive support to the Managing Director.
- Supporting the implementation and monitoring of the Company's strategic plans and business objectives.
- Coordinating executive initiatives and following up on key management decisions.
- Monitoring strategic projects, including construction and infrastructure projects, to ensure timely implementation.
- Supporting bidding, tendering, procurement, and contract administration processes.
- Preparing executive reports, presentations, policy briefs, and analytical papers.
- Supporting Board and corporate governance processes.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with government institutions, clients, contractors, consultants, and other stakeholders.
- Coordinating activities between departments, construction sites, logistics, design teams, and company branches.
- Promoting operational excellence, digital transformation, innovation, and the effective use of AI tools in business operations.
Qualifications and Experience
Applicants must possess:
- A master’s degree in business administration (MBA), Finance, Economics, Strategic Management, Project Management, Business Management, Public Administration, Engineering Management, or another related field.
- At least 3 years' experience providing executive-level advisory or management support.
- At least 3 years' experience in a managerial or senior leadership position.
- Proven experience in project related to construction or infrastructure projects, project management, bidding, tendering, procurement, and contract administration.
- Experience working with Boards of Directors or corporate governance structures will be an added advantage.
- Previous experience in project related construction, engineering, real estate, or multi-sector organizations is added advantage .

- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
- Ability to work independently, under pressure, and meet tight deadlines.
- High levels of integrity, professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Working knowledge of QuickBooks or other accounting/ERP systems.
- Familiarity with Rwandan digital platforms, including Umucyo e-Procurement System, Rwanda Revenue Authority (RRA) systems, IremboGov, and related government platforms.
- Proficiency in using Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools to improve productivity, research, reporting, and decision-making.
- Fluency in English and/or French (both written and spoken). Knowledge of Kinyarwanda is an added advantage.
Working Conditions
The successful candidate will be based at the Company's Office in Musanze District, Rwanda, and must be willing to:
- Work beyond normal working hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays, when required.
- Travel frequently and conduct site visits to company projects, branches, and operational locations throughout Rwanda.
- Work in both office and construction site environments.
- Respond promptly to urgent executive assignments and organizational priorities.
A valid driving licence is an added advantage.
