EXPRESSION OF INTEREST FOR PROVISION OF ENVIRONMENTAL, SOCIAL AND GOVERNANCE CONSULTANCY. 

Trinity Metal Ltd (Trinity Nyakabingo, Trinity Musha and Trinity Rutongo mines) is seeking for a suitably qualified, experienced and local Rwandan company to provide specialized Environmental, Social and Governance Consultancy.

1. SCOPE OF WORK: 

A. Integrated SHEC Management System

Support the implementation of a group-level EMS which will be fully integrated into a SHEC MS in line with the relevant ISO Management system standards. This will involve the following tasks:

• Facilitate annual review and update to the E&S Impact / Aspect Register.
• Facilitate routine review and update of the Group and operational ESAPs 
• Review of the ESG components of the Legal Register and Company Risk Register.
• Advising on annual targets and objectives for E&S management.
• Support in the development and implementation of E&S Monitoring plans and programmes.
• Assistance in the implementation of procedures.
• Support in annual internal SHECS audit.
• Assistance in the development and implementation of outstanding ESG management strategies and procedures, including (but not limited to):
  • Group Waste Management Strategy.
  • Group Climate Mitigation and Adaptation Plan.
  • Group Cultural Heritage Management Plan and Chance Find Procedure.
  • Group Biodiversity Management Plan. 

B. Social Management Plans and CSR implementation

General support in implementation of social management plans, including stakeholder engagement, grievance management, land acquisition and resettlement, unauthorised miner management, and community development projects. 

C. LOM Planning, Mine Closure and Rehabilitation Planning

• Facilitation of review and update of the Mine Closure Planning and Cost (2027).
• Support in aligning TMG mine closure costs to regulatory obligations.
• Support in the development of concurrent/progressive rehabilitation plans and costing for all mines.

D.Implementation of DFC TA Projects 

• Advisory role in the implementation of all DFC TA projects. 
• Participate in and guide the SEDP process (TA3).
• Overall project management for TA4 – Legacy Tailings and River Rehabilitation.
• Facilitation of pilot river rehabilitation projects.
• Oversight of the Mine-wide water balance modelling. 
• General Review of TA projects and overview of project management.

E. IPO Process, new investment and shareholder relations 

• Participate in all DD processes undertaken, specifically in the ESG sector.
• Assist in the development of ESG action plans to support lender/investor requirements, and track compliance with these. 
• Support the IPO process as part of the deal team.
• Support TMG in shareholder reporting and relations in respect to ESG compliance.

F. Training, mentoring and capacity building of E&S Staff across the Trinity Group

Ongoing training and mentoring in the following fields: 

• Integrated SHEC EMS and the ISO14001/45001 standards;
• IFC Performance Standards and other global industry standards;
• Env monitoring and record keeping;
• Sector-based training: eg: Waste management, hazardous chemical substances, Climate change etc. 

G. General advice and support to Trinity Management 

General support and advice to Group Sustainability Manager and Trinity EXCO in achieving effective ESG management aligned with international best practice.
