JOB ANNOUNCEMENT
COOPEC IKIRENGA is a Financial Service Cooperative operating in the Northern Province of Rwanda supervised by National Bank of Rwanda. Its creation is a result of merger of five SACCOs (COOPEC ITI, COOPEC CODEMARU, CSTCR SACCO, CSPKI and TRASO) that decided to form one single entity named “COOPEC IKIRENGA” in May, 2024 while the existing SACCOs remained as its branches. COOPEC IKIRENGA headquarter is located in Rulindo district, Base Sector, Rwamahwa Cell, Base Village.
It is from that background that the Management of COOPEC IKIRENGAinforms the public that it is recruiting competent and qualified staff to fill the following positions:

Key ResponsibilitiesUnder the supervision and guidance of the Managing Director:
- Plans and monitors the day-to-day running of business activities to ensure efficiency and high quality of work in the department.
- Supervises and supports the staff in their roles of implementing their tasks and responsibilities.
- Participates in all management meetings.
- Creates strategies for the department with senior management.
- Revises and/or formulates all related policies and promotes their implementation.
- Oversees compliance with regulations and procedures applicable to the department.
- Manages relationships/agreements with staff, members/customers, and other external partners.
- Prepares timely and detailed reports on financial and operational performance of the department.
- Regularly evaluates the efficiency of business procedures according to COOPEC IKIRENGAs objectives and applies improvements.
- Oversees member/customer support processes and organizes them to enhance member/customer satisfaction.
- Oversees and manages all business, IT, and digital operations.
- Prepare timely and detailed reports on financial and operational performance of the department.
- Perform any other tasks requested by the Managing Director.
Education & Experiences Required
- Master’s degree in accounting or Finance/ Accounting/Business Administration and further related fields or bachelor’s degree in Finance/ Accounting/Business Administration and related fields with 10 years of experience on a senior management level in the microfinance/banking industry
- Possession of professional accounting certification: CAT, CPA, ACCA, CIFA is an added advantage.
- Minimum five (5) years of experience in banking/microfinance operations.
- Excellent organizational and leadership abilities.
- Outstanding communication and people skills.
- Strong decision-making abilities.
- Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat.
- Fluency in spoken and written English. Knowledge of French is added advantage.
General Requirement
- To be Rwandan
- Not to have been definitely sentenced to a term of imprisonment equal to or exceeding six (6) months;
- Not to have been dismissed from any other institution unless applicant is entitled to reinstatement under laws and regulations in force;
Not have been involved in the bankruptcy of a financial institution;
