The Management of Trinity Nyakabingo Mine Ltd is pleased to invite competent, qualified and experienced candidates to apply for the following vacant position:

Full role descriptions and requirements for the position are set out below.

Job Brief: To plan and carry out programmes that accurately characterise and define known economic mineralisation, and to identify and define new economic mineralisation in the underground mine for reserve classification. The role analyses geological data to advise on short- and long-term production plans, and provides timely, accurate geological mapping, models, plans and advice to support mining operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Carry out geological mapping and core logging; interpret grade control and drilling data; plan, implement and supervise drilling programmes.
• Conduct preliminary geological reconnaissance surveys for prospective projects and advise the Company on their viability.
• Assess known and new resources for reserve classification.
• Complete underground mapping and keep information accurate and up to date.
• Advise on the impact of geological factors on the development of mineral extraction.
• Identify the ore body, host rocks, and structural and grade parameters, and ensure the correct portions of the ore body are mined.
• Work with mining and technical teams to produce short-, medium- and long-term mine plans across all Company projects.
• Research available data and propose exploration aimed at extending the life of mine.
• Ensure all geological procedures comply with health and safety regulations.
• Comply, and ensure the team supervised complies, with all Company policies and procedures.
• Perform any other task assigned by the Supervisor and/or Management.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree in Mine Geology or a similar qualification.
• Post-qualification experience in geology, including narrow-vein mining.
• Proficiency in 3D mining software (Deswik or similar).
• At least 3 years' experience with 2D CAD software.
• Knowledge of mining operations and common mining methods.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant computer systems.
• Good verbal and written communication and people management skills.
• Able to work in a team environment.
• Trustworthy, of sober habits, motivated and performance driven.
