GPI Rwanda
In Rwanda, GPI implements the Nutrition and Health Improvement Project (NHIP) and the Agricultural Income Improvement Project (AIIP). The Project Manager (PM) will oversee the effective implementation of both projects, ensuring quality program delivery, performance management, budget management, and external coordination. The PM will also support new project development and strengthen the Branch's operational systems.
GPI is seeking a passionate and experienced professional to join our team as Project Manager, to lead program quality, performance, and financial management for NHIP and AIIP, and to help build a sustainable operational system for the Rwanda Branch.

Key Responsibility:
- Provide overall management of the Nutrition and Health Improvement Project (NHIP) and the Agricultural Income Improvement Project (AIIP), including annual work planning, implementation, timeline and performance management, and risk identification and response.
- Monitor project budget execution, conduct monthly and quarterly budget analysis, review the appropriateness of project expenditures, and support audits and monitoring visits.
- Manage project performance indicators, prepare project progress reports, support reporting to headquarters and donor agencies, and ensure the quality of project data.
- Build cooperation and networks with government agencies and other stakeholders, and represent GPI in project-related meetings and coordination bodies.
- Supervise local staff, support their capacity building, and assist in staff performance evaluation.
- Support new project development and strengthen the Branch's overall program management systems to build a sustainable operational structure.
Salary Range: Negotiable
Job Location: Nyamata Sector, Bugesera District
Employment Period: 1-year contract (renewable, subject to performance evaluation)
Experience Required: Minimum 7 years of relevant experience, preferably in international development cooperation program management
Qualifications
- Commitment to Good People International's mission and values
- Bachelor's degree or higher in development studies, agriculture, health, education, social development, or a related field
- Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience
- Experience managing international development cooperation projects
- Strong report-writing skills
- Ability to work professionally in English
Preferred:
- Experience with KOICA, UN, or international NGO projects
- Master's degree or higher
