1. Brief Description of DUHAMIC-ADRI 

DUHAMIC -ADRI is a non-profit organization located in Kigali, the capital city of Rwanda, in Kicukiro District, Niboye Sector. Officially operating in Rwanda since 12th July 1985.

2. Project background

In partnership with the Luxembourg Development Cooperation Agency (LuxDev), DUHAMIC-ADRI has launched the component "Develop and Pilot Climate-Smart Agriculture (CSA) Models" under the umbrella SFERE Project (Sustainable Forestry and Efficient Renewable Energy for Improved Livelihoods). 

The 24-month project aims to boost rural livelihoods, reinforce climate adaptation, and restore ecological landscapes in the vulnerable terrain of Rubavu and Rutsiro Districts.

3. Rationale

To establish a scientifically rigorous reference point for measuring progress, accountability, and impact, DUHAMIC-ADRI is seeking a highly qualified national consultant to design and execute a comprehensive baseline assessment.

The consultant will be responsible for the full lifecycle of the baseline study, which will cover 10 Climate-Smart Agriculture (CSA) pilot sites in the districts of Rubavu and Rutsiro, comprising five sites in each district and a total target population of 2,000 farmers.

The following mandatory documents must be submitted with the technical proposals 

  1. A company registration certificate related to Consultancy activities
  2. Valid clearance certificate issued by Rwanda Social Security Board
  3. A valid RRA clearance certificate
  4. A proof of using EBM

The scope of work is detailed in the attached Terms of Reference for your reference.
