CALL FOR APPLICATIONS 

RECRUITMENT OF ENUMERATORS – MCF GRADUATE TRACER 

SURVEY 

The Research Team in charge of implementing the research project: “Bridging the Employability 

Gap: A Quasi-Experimental Mixed-Methods Evaluation of Virtual Placements and Solution-Based Internships for Labour Market Integration of Mastercard Foundation Scholars at the University of Rwanda” invites applications from qualified and motivated individuals to serve as Enumerators for data collection. 

About the Study 

The study aims to assess the transition of University of Rwanda graduates from higher education to employment, with particular attention to Mastercard Foundation Scholars and comparable non-Scholar graduates. The tracer survey will collect information on university experience, employability support, internship/work-placement experiences, transition to employment, and employment outcomes. 

Key Responsibilities 

Selected enumerators will: 

  • Administer the approved tracer survey to selected graduates using KoboCollect
  • Explain the study and obtain informed consent before each interview; 
  • Ensure accurate and complete recording of responses; 
  • Follow questionnaire skip patterns and fieldwork procedures; 
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of respondents' information; 
  • Conduct follow-up with selected respondents when required; 
  • Report field challenges to the field supervisor; and 
  • Comply with research ethics and data-protection requirements. 

Required Experience and Skills 

Applicants should: 

  • Have proven experience in quantitative data collection
  • Have practical experience using KoboCollect for data collection
  • Submit at least two certificates or other verifiable proof of participation in data collection activities using KoboCollect
  • Be fluent in Kinyarwanda and English
  • Have strong communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Demonstrate integrity, reliability and attention to detail; and 
  • Be available throughout the data-collection period. 

Previous experience with graduate tracer surveys or research involving university graduates will be an added advantage.

Training 

Selected enumerators will participate in mandatory training and field-testing before the main data collection. Training will cover the study objectives, questionnaire, KoboCollect, interviewing techniques, informed consent, confidentiality, research ethics, and quality-control procedures.
