The United States and the Republic of Rwanda enjoy a partnership that began in 1962 just after the Rwandan independence. We actively support the transition to a vibrant democracy that encourages civic participation, legal reform, and respect for human rights. Our third goal is to promote health with special emphasis on combating HIV/AIDS, malaria and tuberculosis. Our historic partnership is alive and thriving today in the U.S. Embassy's engagement in the Republic of Rwanda.

Dear Prospective Offeror:

Subject: Request for Generator Maintenance Services

The Embassy of the United States of America invites qualified contractors to submit proposals for the Generator Maintenance Services at the U.S. Embassy Kigali. The award will be given to the company responsible submitting a technically acceptable offer at the lowest evaluated price, based on initial proposals, without holding discussions, although discussions may be conducted with companies in the competitive range if determined necessary.

A pre proposal meeting will be held at the U.S. Embassy Kigali on August 27, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. (Central Africa Time). Prospective offerors should contact kigaligsoprocurementrequest@state.gov by August 25, 2026, to register for the site visit and arrange access to the U.S. Embassy.

Financial and Technical Proposals must be submitted in English and are due no later than August 31, 2026 at 4:30 p.m. (Central Africa Time). Late or incomplete proposals will not be considered. Attached is the Statement of work 

The complete solicitation package may be obtained by contacting kigaligsoprocurementrequest@state.gov. Offerors shall be registered in the SAM (System for Award Management) database at https://www.sam.gov prior to submittal of their offer/proposal as prescribed under FAR 4.1102.
